Seniors Programs

Stay Healthy & Active!

Our specially designed classes help seniors living in the community stay healthy and active. Classes are funded by the government of Ontario and organized by our community partner. Participation is FREE for seniors with valid Ontario health card (OHIP). Currently, we offer the following classes:

  • Exercise Program: 
    • Endurance – improve health of the heart and circulatory system
    • Strengthening – build muscle tissue and reduce age-related muscle loss
    • Stretching – keep body limber and flexible
    • Balance – reduce chances of a fall
  • Falls Prevention Program: 
    • An exercise program designed to improve overall strength, balance and gait
    • One-to-one falls risk assessment (pre and post program)
    • Home safety and exercise information sessions
    • A great opportunity for seniors to socialize and engage in community wellness programs
