Rotator Cuff Tendinitis

Rotator cuff tendinitis is a very common medical condition. Rotator cuff is a group of four tendons and muscles that surround the shoulder joint. Rotator cuff tendinitis is inflammation of the tendons when they are injured.

Two common symptoms of Rotator cuff tendinitis are pain and weakness of shoulder. In some people pain can travel down to the arm and all the way to the elbow.  Most common causes of rotator cuff tendinitis are as follow:

  • Strain
  • Injury (sport, accident, work, etc.)
  • Repetitive or sudden movements

Physical therapy, ultrasound and laser therapy can be very helpful at early stages of tendinitis.
