Benefits of Good Posture

Published on October 11, 2017, by in Chiropractic.

You would be surprised to know the impact of posture on your health and everyday life.

The following are just a few:

  • Decreases the stress on the joints and the spine
  • Prevents fatigue
  • Makes you sleep better at night
  • Prevents backache and muscular pain
  • Makes you look better and more confident.

Most of us do not even know or notice whether our posture is good or not. Our posture changes from sitting position to standing or lying down. However, your chiropractor is trained not only to diagnose poor posture, but also to help you correct it. To improve your posture, your chiropractor can also adjust your joints to reduce pressure on them. It is true that some patients are scared of chiropractic adjustments mainly due to misperceptions around manual adjustment or the “popping” sound that it makes. Dentists would share similar stories about patient’s fear of drilling procedure.

Fortunately, technology has been able to address most of the patients’ concerns through “computerized adjustment”. In this advanced technology, first a sensor examines the treatment area and calculates the exact force that should be applied. This is the same sensing technology that the aviation industry and engineers use in order to test metal fatigue in aircraft and bridge spans. Once the force is calculated by the computer, the doctor uses the special probe to apply the treatment. All in a comfortable seated position! Patients have been extremely satisfied with this new technology, and more importantly, how effective, precise and pain-free it is.

Dr. Negin Rabi is one of the few chiropractors in Ontario that offers computerized adjustments to her patients. She invites you to try this new technology to treat your muscular and joint pains without use of medication. Dr. Rabi may be reached at (905)237-8439.
